Joint Injections

One of the most common causes of lameness and decreased mobility in our pets is joint arthritis. Arthritis is a condition that is managed over time, but unfortunately can never be cured. If your pet is suffering from arthritis, there are many options available to help them live a more comfortable life.
One of these options is having medications injected directly into the affected joint. With this method, we can deliver pain relieving and joint fortifying medications right at the source of the trouble, instead of treating more indirectly with medications that the pet may take orally (by mouth). For some pets, they do not tolerate the common oral medications prescribed for arthritis, and in other cases the arthritis may have progressed to the point where these oral medications are no longer effective. These animals would then be considered good candidates for joint injections.
